The Sitting Room was established in 1983 and is now owned and run by family team, Peter Smith and Amanda Davey. We are an independent furniture shop, where quality and service is second to none. We offer a wide selection of furniture to suit all tastes and budgets - from classic designs that can be tailor-made to your requirements and measurements to modern designs with a timeless elegance. We work closely with our manufacturers, enabling us to offer a bespoke service on many of the designs in our collection.

The quality of materials used and choice of fabric is very important to the ranges we have in our showroom. Our location in rural Oxfordshire means that we are able to keep our prices affordable; ranging from under £500 for a hand built fabric sofa, to over £2000 for a fully reclining leather sofa. We are happy to help our customers create the perfect look with our knowledge and experience. We can advise on colors and offer ideas at no extra cost.
