Apter-Fredericks have become leading antique dealers in the field of antique English furniture, 18th century furniture and 19th century furniture. Our expertise has been acquired by looking at, researching and inspecting many bookcases, cabinets, chests, chairs, mirrors and tables.
Our stock includes Queen Anne, Georgian and Regency pieces in walnut, mahogany, rosewood, giltwood and satinwood, ranging from plain veneers, to inlay and marquetry, brass lined, gilded and ormolu mounted. Well represented is the work of Chippendale, Sheraton, Adam, Linnell, Ince & Mayhew and Gillows. Illuminating our stock are some wonderful wall lights, chandeliers and candelabra by such notable makers as Perry, Osler, Parker and Blades.
Throughout this process, hours have been spent discussing the furniture with other experts, researchers, restorers, museum curators and perhaps most importantly with our clients. There can be no better education.
