About the Business
Established by Dave Penrose in 1990, Island Furniture Design inherited its name and independent values from our first workshop on Eel Pie Island on the River Thames in Twickenham. We are now based on The Green in the heart of Twickenham, continuing to produce an eclectic variety of unrivalled made-to-measure furniture and personalised gifts. If you desire something that is undeniably unique, Dave and his team of talented craftsmen can handcraft your vision into reality.
Island Furniture Design uses the highest quality materials for your project, sourcing from reliable and reputable suppliers. We use a wealth of veneers, solid timbers and specialist finishes to suit your requirements. We also work actively within a community of outstanding independent manufacturers and freelance craftsmen who work with specialist materials such as bronze, leather and glass. This provides us with unlimited flexibility to create whatever you have in mind.
